Hamic Previte & Sturwold, P.A. provides specialized tax and accounting services to a wide array of businesses and individuals in diverse industries since 1961.  Our team of accountants and advisors are dedicated to helping our clients meet goals through a high standard of excellence and professionalism. As our firm continues to grow, we are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team of professionals.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Prepare tax returns for corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, trusts and individuals.
  • Make adjusting journal entries and complete a trial balance for business returns.
  • Become proficient of pertinent Internal Revenue Codes and researching tax matters.
  • Perform additional accounting functions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or demonstrated progress toward obtaining CPA certification
  • Experience with public accounting (we will provide tax training)
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple clients and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be deadline oriented, able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team atmosphere
